I have to apologize beforehand – due to my budget smartphone camera, Mardelia came out slightly more purple looking than she does in real life! 😛

Crazypurplebat crafted this Mardelia from a fashion style sized My Little Pony toy and super sculpey. She stands just under 6 inches tall and was hand-painted with acrylics and sealed with Miniwax. I reckon she did a fantastic job (just look at that cutie mark!) and I absolutely love it! 😀 This little Mardelia’s now standing proudly on my desk (in fact, she’s right beside the laptop I’m typing on right now!).

Just so you know, I have an extremely bad habit of smelling everything so the first thing I did when I took this cutie out of her box was to smell her. To my surprise, she smelt pretty good!! O.O and now I can’t stop WANTING to smell her (no, I’m not a glue-sniffer! :P) but I know it can’t be good for you so I won’t!

Also – I see there’s no clear Galloping Gala winner yet!

I also just want to do a quick update on my pony commissions, I have a few projects going on at the moment – but the one project I’m so terribly excited about is my Applejack plushie from Little-Broy-Peep-Inc in her coronation dress! (I’ve been wanting to commission an Applejack from Little-Broy-Peep-Inc for a while now!)

applejack_s_coronation_dress_by_bethiebo-d5vqneuHer dress will be made out of minky and will be removable! 😀 Little-Broy-Peep-Inc will also be including her normal light brown stetson hat (both hats will have magnets inserted! Woopie!).

I’m also thinking of commissioning another Mardelia plushie (this time from a different artist) in a costume! But I’m not quite sure what outfit yet… some sort of dress probably? What do you guys think? A friend of mine on DA had suggested a kimono!  I’m thinking like a red kimono with pink sakura blossoms…. that would be so pretty, don’t you think?! 😀 😀

  1. Whoa this is so gorgeous! I’ve used sculpey before and it’s so tough to get this level of detail, wow! Also haha I actually have a bad habit of smelling everything too lol you’re not alone!

    Can’t wait to see your new Applejack when it’s done! As for an outfit for Mardelia – a kimono would be cute! I wonder how a kimono would fit on a pony haha, but your plushie artists never seem to disappoint! I’d be really excited to see what they come up with!

    Yea, Crazypurplebat did a fantastic job! 😀 😀 Mardelia can be a bit of a pain to craft 😮

    I can sort of see how a kimono would work… It shouldn’t be too hard either! You just make it like a robe, fit the sleeves through the her front legs/hooves, then tie a sash around her waist! Ta da! Just the pattern might be complicated to make… could be simplified maybe… will be a big project though… Hmm…

  3. Yeah we smell things lol. Ya know if it smells bad you have to fix it. She is so cute, she came out amazing 😀 I love the look of her as a figure too.
    Hmm yeah a Kimono or Yukata because it is summer 😉 Applejacks costume look so cute. Voted for Rarity again~

    • Haha thanks!! :3 good to hear that others approve of smelling XD and yes! I was trying to decide between gala and coronation…. In the end I went with coronation! :3 I wanted her normal default hair as I’d just gotten one of her in braids!

      And hehe, it looks like it’s between Rarity and Fluttershy! But the votes are all v close, I’m going to leave them open until Sept :3
