I had some scrap minky lying around after sewing some father’s day gifts – so I thought it might be fun to try my hand at sewing some pony plushies! Especially since I’ve commissioned and collected so many, I thought it’d be a good idea to experience first hand what the process might be somewhat like! 😀

So… last night I decided to give it a go for the first time (and I just took the plunge and used minky because that was the only fabric I had lying around :<)! I’ve never sewed plushies before and really had no idea where to start, so I used *valleyviolet’s pattern (thumbs up to her for a great pattern!) and here’s what I’ve done so far…

I made the smaller pink one first – using *valleyviolet’s pattern exactly. The bigger yellow one I made after enlarging her pattern and making a few tiny modifications. I think they’re not too bad for a first go/complete plushie noob!

It’s actually a lot of fun (and relaxing!)!!! 😀 Hopefully I’ll be able to find some time in the next week to try my hand at sewing the heads too! and maybe the manes/tails 😛 😛 will update with pics if I do :3
