My Sewing: Rarity V2.0!

I’ve decided to make a new blog category titled “My Sewing” as I reckon it can get a bit confusing since I collect ponies from other artists as well as myself!!!  XD

Anyway! Here she is:

So for my 7th plushie, I decided to re-make Rarity! 😀 Again, I decided to use two shades of purple for her hair to capture its shimmering gradient and made her tail more 3D/voluminous. I’m very happy with the results!

Rarity is not for sale! I’m keeping her for my own collection! 😉

I hope you guys like her as much as me! :3

Details:
*Materials: cuddle 3 minky by Shannon Fabrics
*Minky colours: Snow White, Purple, Mauve
*Stuffing: premium polyester fiberfill, craft foam, pipe cleaners (in the end of her curls only) and poly pellets in hooves
*Thread: gutermann polyester sew-all thread, gutermann rayon embroidery thread
*Eyes/Cutie marks: machine embroidered
*Size: Approx 15″ tall, 20″ long
*She has my signature embroidered into the bottom of her front left hoof

OK! Next project is RD! 😉 After RD, I would’ve finished making the mane six at least once! 😀 I’ll be remaking everyone to keep for myself, and I’m also itching to make some background ponies (Lyra/Cherilee etc).   3. I’ve been following your blog forever (for rilakkuma at first), but have been way too shy to say anything. ^^;; BUT OMG I just have to say that your ponies are so awesome!! The ones you have made look so professional hehe ^^ The craftsmanship is top notch!

And thank you so much for your kind words about my ponies! 😀 I have so much fun making them! And I also enjoy reading all the positive feedback! 😀 it feels good to be able to use my creativity again… And make something you can cuddle and squish in your hands! Ah ha. Also, sorry about the lack of Rilakkuma updates! >.< it seems like I've become a bit pony crazy :p but please do stick around! :p I promise to create more art that's worth your time hehe

      • ohhh don’t apologize!! hehe just keep blogging about whatever you want. I will be sticking around, I keep coming back to look at your ponies ^^ It makes me want to start collecting ponies, but my apartment is bursting with rilakkumas >__< I used to sew, so seeing your WIP posts is inspiring and makes me want to start sewing again, although I don't know what I would make. ^^;; I'm really impressed with how quickly you have improved. Your first pony was really awesome already, but after that you progressed super fast!!

        On a side note, I wish my GP had your hobbies. That would be awesome. You must be the coolest doctor ever! haha Imagine going for check ups and in addition to getting prescriptions, you could pick up a pony! I don't know how you do it… baby, doctor, plush making :p But then again since you survived med school you must have serious time management skills.

    • Awww thanks! 😀 you’re so sweet! I really enjoy sewing! And yes, it’s amazing how much progress I’ve made so far! It was my first time using the sewing machine only few months ago! XD so the progress keeps me going! I want to keep improving with every project! 😉 and I’ve learnt so much so far. Also, I LOVE working with minky! It’s soooo soft and cuddly 😀

      Ooo, you sew too? I would love to see what you sew! 😀 do share when you can! You should totally pick it up again! It’s such a great hobby, and you create something wonderful in the end! 😀

      Ahaha, yea, I get along with all the young patients :p we have common interests esp the young women! They love to come and tell me about their lady issues ;p

      By the way, your apartment sounds really awesome! :p
