My 8th plushie is RD! I’m so happy because I’ve finally finished making the mane 6 at least once! I left RD until the end because I thought she’d be difficult to make, but surprisingly, she was pretty straightforward and I had a lot of fun making her! (except I have to say, I don’t enjoy sewing wings :< I don’t know why, I just dread wings, I’m also no longer a big fan of opened wings – they block the nice curves of the pony body :<).

I have to admit… I’ve never been a huge RD fan at all, but after making her, I’m really in love with her colours and design :3 I’m totally going to make myself a RD once I’ve finished my AJ V2.0

Her forelock has a side-swept look from the front (more obvious in real life :3). There are several minky colour options for RD, and in the end, I decided to go with these colours as I feel they achieve the best balance when it comes to show accuracy and RD’s vivacity. My ancient smartphone camera has trouble capturing the purple colour – it is actually a very pretty royal purple in real life, promise!  Oh, and the blue in her hair is a shade darker than her body in RL :p

Details:
*Materials: cuddle 3 minky by Shannon Fabrics
*Minky colours: turquoise, cherry, yellow, orange, jade, azure, purple
*Stuffing: premium polyester fiberfill, craft foam, and poly pellets in hooves
*Thread: gutermann polyester sew-all thread, threadelight rayon embroidery thread
*Eyes/Cutie marks: machine embroidered
*Size: Approx 17″ tall, 15″ long
*She has my signature embroidered into the bottom of her front right hoof

RD is up for sale on Ebay:

My next project is an AJ for myself :3 (and I’m updating the forelock pattern). Hopefully she won’t take too long! Because there are sooooo many ponies I desperately want to make!!!!!!!! (ahhhh! I wish I could sew ALL DAY >.<)

Now that I’ve finished making the mane 6, I’m opening my first round of commissions. For more info, please read here:

Thanks and have a great day!!!!
