A huge box came for me yesterday morning.  HUGE box.  And guess who were in it?!  HUGE PONIES (of course :P)!  And who makes the hugest ponies?!  Well… that’s easy… who else – but BURZURK!

Yep, so crystal pony Fluttershy and Rarity arrived yesterday morning 😀 I was sooo delighted to see them!  They’re so epically big, and I love how soft and squishy they are!  If you ever decide you need a pony fit for cuddles, you should totally go for Burzurk’s – she makes the cuddliest most huggable ponies.  Honestly.

I have very limited time to blog (Melody’s nap time, and she likes to take cat naps lasting 30 mins T-T) – so I’ll go on ahead and show you their pictures, I’ll start with crystal pony Rarity:

Look!  Rarity has pretty earrings made from sterling silver bar blanks, sterling silver earring hooks, and Swarovski crystal beads! They can be worn by humans too! (maybe I can borrow them sometime XD I’m sure Rarity won’t mind!)

Wow – check out that mane! XD Copy and pasted straight from Burzurk’s DA page: “This plush about killed me. The pattern for her hair and tail has 25 pieces, while there are 60 (I think? I’m too dead to count) individual pieces of minky that had to be cut out and sewn. For comparison, Fluttershy only has 6 pieces for her mane and tail, and even Rainbow Dash only has 24 pieces. T__T My fingers are sore.” awww *hugs Burzurk*

I specifically wanted to take this pic to show you how Burzurk pays special care and attention to line up the hair lines on both sides of the mane/tail – I’ve noticed quite a few plushie artists don’t.  This has become a pet peeve for me – I try to line up all the hair lines on my ponies too, and it’s very do-able, so in my opinion, artists really shouldn’t skimp on that detail.

I love how Burzurk shaped Fluttershy’s mane & tail 😀 so pretty! And just like Rarity, she has pretty little crystals in her hair to give her that shimmery crystal look.

Another thing I love about Burzurk’s ponies – they look sooooo adorable from the front!

Lastly, Burzurk’s pretty signature in pink (YAY!) on the bottom of their left front hooves! 😀

Now for some specifics!  😀 Rarity stands about 15.5″ tall to the top of her head & 18″ to the top of her horn and Fluttershy stands about 15.5″ tall to the top of her head & 17″ to the top of her hair/ears. Both are crafted from incredibly soft, “touch me all day, everyday” minky and have machine embroidered details. Because they are crystal ponies, they have numerous little crystals in their hair to give them that shimmery crystal look ;). Both are stuffed lightly so are extremely soft and cuddly, but they are still able to stand on their own very well and have no uneven lumps/bumps.

Burzurk also included a special little gift for Rainbow Dash! Awww how sweet of her! 😀 and it’s Wonderbolts themed too! She wanted to include a gift because the commission process took a bit longer than expected (minky got lost in the mail! >.< and then embroidery machine decided to be naughty >.<) but to be fair, it wasn’t very long at all (I’m still waiting on some commissions from May/June! So 5 months of waiting already! I reckon if you’re going to take this long to finish a commission, you should at least send WIP pics, or warn the commissioner. Funnily enough, some of these artists actually told me they’d take about 3-4 weeks to complete my plush. I don’t mean to rant, but if you’re going to be tardy about making the pony, at least have the decency to be honest about it! 😡 safe to say, I won’t be in a rush to re-commission some of these artists)

*takes a deep breath in* Aaaaaaaanyway – back to the wonderful Burzurk! 😀 Here’s Fluttershy wearing RD’s gift! (awwww it actually looks so cute and sweet on Fluttershy too! I was sad to take them off her!)

They were too huge to fit on the ottoman XD. I had to spend a lot of time re-arranging my ponies on my display shelves because these two new additions to my herd were too huge to fit anywhere BUT the absolute top tiers. I need more shelves/space/bigger room!!!!! >.< not sure what to do once I fill up all the tiers :< this feels like my Rilakkumma dilemma all over again! >.<
