Rainbow Dash plushie

Rainbow Dash is actually (and sadly) my least favourite pony out of the mane 6 😛 so I left her last to plush. But she truly does make for an amazing looking plush (in fact, she’s probably my favourite out my most recent round of “revised mane 6 plushies”). I love how vivacious and bright her colours are, and how her lines are so (aero)dynamic and sharp. I’ve always wanted to plush her with that determined expression – I love it! She looks so fierce! 🙂

Her forelock is 3D and side-swept to the left. I tried my best to capture that with the small bird’s-eye view photo inset.

I’ve already posted a handful of WIP pics of her on my Patreon – mainly of the mane/tail patterning and sewing stages, so please take a look if you’re interested! From now on, I plan to regularly post WIP pics of the projects I’m working on exclusively on Patreon. I’ve also ordered a video camera to start doing some basic plushing tutorials for my patrons ^^ my first one will be on how I plush RD’s mane/tail.

*Materials: cuddle 3 minky by Shannon Fabrics
*Minky colours: cherry, orange, banana, jade, azure, purple, baby blue
*Stuffing: premium polyester fiberfill, craft foam, poly pellets in hooves, quilt batting
*Thread: gutermann polyester sew-all thread, gutermann rayon embroidery thread
*Eyes/Cutie marks: machine embroidered
*Size: Approx 15″ tall, 15″ long
*She has my signature embroidered into the bottom of her front left hoof

Next up, I will be focusing on developing a pattern for my pony tsums as well as plushing another Rainbow Dash (I’ve had a few people wanting to commission me for her). I will vlog my progress as part of my Patreon video tutorial series (once my camera arrives, that is!!!!)
