Hello everyone and welcome to my blog dedicated to my love and passion that is Rilakkuma ^-^
I first discovered Rilakkuma from a Taiwanese drama called ‘Office Girls’ otherwise known as ‘小資女孩向前衝’ a few months ago. The leading couple each owned a Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma which they used as symbols for themselves and their shy and blooming love for one another. So sweet ^-^
I love both Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma (maybe Korilakkuma a little more hehe), but I am not a huge fan of the chick – also know as Kiiroitori (he’s not as cute as the bears and from what I’ve read he is a money loving mean turd slave driver – almost reminds me of myself haha… I have a love-hate relationship with chick).
I guess my love for Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma stems from my aspiration and desire to be a ‘relax bear’ myself. My life is pretty busy and hectic most of the time with every day being compulsively goal-directed – sometimes I wish I could just slow down and enjoy the world its simple things.
I used to keep an extensive diary of my life and its happenings – it’s such a delight to read and reminisce on, but I’ve stopped since I got into medical school and became a doctor. Now I am in my second post-graduate year – how time flies.
I hope I can share through this blog the happiness and smiles I experience with my Rilakkuma collection (I use Rilakkuma to collectively talk about Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma and at times chick)… so I guarantee a picture filled blog with lots of my special Rilakkuma plushies ^-^
Anyway, I better stop now – I have lots of reading to do today and toilets to clean at home haha ~ I am waiting on my bids for several limited edition Rilakkuma & Korilakkuma plushies in Japanese auction sites – so exciting! They are gems in my boring little life (haha, ok ok – my life is not THAT bad).
Here is a teaser pic of one of my favourite Korilakkumas ^-^ I had just unwrapped her
