Straight from Wikipedia –
Amigurumi (編みぐるみ?, lit. crocheted or knitted stuffed toy) is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll. Amigurumi are typically animals, but can include artistic renderings or inanimate objects endowed with anthropomorphic features, as is typical in Japanese culture.
So I found this awesome girl called Altea (deviant ID: ayinai) from Spain, who makes these awesome League of Legends amigurumis and I got her to customize me a Miss Fortune Road Warrior amigurumi, an arctic warfare Caitlyn amigurumi and a classic Lux amigurumi! She’s just completed my Miss Fortune Road Warrior amigurumi and here’s the result!
WOW! ISN’T SHE CUTE?!
Here is a quick splash art to remind you what she looks like –
I LOVE IT SOOOO MUCH!!!! ❤ ❤ Some people are just SO TALENTED! It really blows my mind! O.O
Just to give you an idea of how talented she is – here are pictures of her other works:
I love my Miss Fortune so much that I’ve already asked her to commission me 3 more champions – Fizz (for my husband), Varus and Bilgewater Katarina. So I will have 6 amigurumis in total coming my way from Spain :D. I wish I could crochet like that! I’d have so much fun making so many cute things! Including this cute Rilakkuma haha –
Honestly, just google images “amigurumi” and you will find your eyes feasting on the most amazing work!
Like for example – take a look at this awesome Marceline the Vampire Queen from Adventure Time amigurumi by icrazio from Deviant Art
And these super cute amigurumi animals!!!
Anyway – moving on from the crazy cute world of amigurumis!
I’ve been watching My Little Pony with Melody recently
Actually, I’ve always LOVED My Little Pony while growing up… and I eagerly yearned to own a My Little Pony toy of my own, but I was too poor to afford any :(. I think I was attracted to all the beautiful colours of their mane/tail/body etc. So anyhow, I’ve been watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic with Melody and I absolutely adore Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash! So (knowing me) I decided to buy their plushies!
They are both lovingly handmade with eyes/cutie marks embroidered.
~UPDATE (20/5/13)~
Just like how I was duped with my first Rilakkuma purchases, I have been semi-duped with these ponies. On one hand, they look pretty much like in the photos, but the quality is pretty crap. And there is nothing ‘loving’ about these ponies. I’m not sure if they are truly ‘handmade’ but I’m sure they’re mass produced. So… I’m going to hand them over to Melody 🙂 Of course, I’ll be sure to wash them first before giving them to her!
I am also planning to commission a custom OC MJ pony –
I just need to find an artist who charges a reasonable price to do it for me 🙂 wish me good luck!
Hope you’ve enjoyed this post! Even though it wasn’t really Rilakkuma related 😛
